Water Photography: From Ocean Waves to Quiet Reflections
This water photography collection features ocean waves, still ponds, and rippling reflections, capturing water in all its moods, powerful, peaceful, and everything in between. Each image reflects a moment spent by the coast, a lake, a quiet stream, or even a puddle.
I’m drawn to water at every scale. There’s something about standing in front of the ocean at Coronado Beach, watching waves that have traveled for miles finally break onto the shore, that never stops feeling immense. But I find just as much beauty in the opposite extreme, a single raindrop caught on a leaf, or the ripple from one drop landing in still water. Water photography lets me capture both ends of that scale, the overwhelming and the tiny.

Where are these water photos taken?
These water photos come from wherever water catches my eye, backyards, streams in the woods, lakes, and oceans alike. There’s no single location, just noticing water in its many forms during outdoor adventures.
