Today I’m participating in the WordPress weekly photo challenge and this week’s theme is “in the background”. You can click on any photo below to see it in a larger format.
Since a lot of my photos happen to be macros, or at least tend to focus on a single subject, I was tempted to skip this week’s WordPress photo challenge. But after going through my portfolio, I found a few photos that would be a great fit for this theme.
Like these photos of the moon in the background of the branches of a Sycamore tree.

Or this beautiful moon rising behind the mountain’s pine trees.

Or this beautiful purple lavender you can see in the background, behind this orange pin cushion protea flower.

Or the Pacific ocean you can notice in the background, behind the grassy sand dunes at Coronado Beach in San Diego, California.

Beautiful I love the first one.
Thank you very much!
Yes, certainly beautiful and peaceful.

Thank you, Janet!
Great photos for the theme. Love the last two in particular!
Thank you, they’re my favorite too!
Wow that was a stunning gallery, cheers!
Thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to comment, Jean!
Love the moon with the Sycamore Tree as a background. Magical images that inspires us all.
It does look a little magical, doesn’t it? Thanks for stopping by!
OMG awesome moon in blue sky shot with orange leafed trees! Stunning:) I love moon shots and the pine tree one with the big moon is so appealing and ethereal.
I love spotting the moon during the day, especially when it’s full or close to.
Really beautiful – I love how the sycamore tree is shining almost like metal.
Thank you! It was in the fall and the leaves were yellow brown and looked golden in the afternoon sunlight.
