Have you ever looked at pine tree bark up close? It’s quite an assortment of terrains.

And if you look even closer, the landscape of pine tree bark resembles a topographic map. I love the mix of patterns and colors that make up the pine tree bark.

Such an interesting texture to the bark…I have some pine trees in my front yard…I should photograph them!
You should! I bet you’ll discover they’re all unique in their patterns, texture and colors.
Isn’t nature an amazing artist

I completely agree! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
It really does look like a topographic map. Great idea to capture the bark so closely. Very unique.
Thank you! It’s interesting to notice how unique every single tree is, telling a different story on the outside.
I really like the bark photo. Beautiful texture!
Thank you very much! That’s quite an interesting texture and unique patterns.
Excellent. I feel like I can just reach out and touch it.
Tree bark is definitely something you want to touch once you stand in front of it.
Gorgeous details in these photos.
Thank you very much!
Lovely! Looks like stone. Love the colors!
Thank you very much for taking the time to stop by and commenting!
Oh, those photos are gorgeous!! I particularly like the second one down, but they are all beautiful. Tree bark is endlessly fascinating and you did a great job photographing it!
Thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoyed my photos.
Those are cool. I never thought of it looking like a topographic map. Thank you for opening my eyes.
You’re welcome. You must have some interesting tree bark where you are.
Beautiful textures. They would work well in black and white too for Sonel’s challenge. 🙂
Thank you, that’s a great idea! I’m not a fan of black and white but I should give it a try with that photo challenge opportunity.
