Today I’m taking part in Macro Monday at Lisa’s Chaos. Remember you can click on each image to see it in a larger format.
I recently discovered a violet honey-myrtle tree in bloom at the San Diego Botanic Garden. Very pretty flowers, but I wonder why they’re labeled violet when they’re clearly more pink than anything.
No matter the color of its blooms, bees seemed very interested in this tree. Here’s one I captured hard at work.
Happy macro Monday!
That bee is having more fun than the wasp I found in my home today. Let’s just say it didn’t end well for my insect friend…
Oh, bees are OK but wasps must die, especially in a house. When I took photos of the swallows, we noticed on the photos that a wasp was building a hive right next to it. I still have to see my neighbors and tell them about it…
Ick. There was a nasty wasp nest in The Shining. It didn’t do nice things…
Haha, I forgot about that. I never see my neighbors but I think I’ll need to go knock on their doors before things get too big. I’m still hoping the swallows will take care of them first. They’re not to smart to build a nest right next to them.
