If you enjoy my photos and would like to purchase some, I want to thank you! Simply visit my Zazzle online shop and browse the product offerings. If there’s a photo you would like to purchase but don’t see it in my shop, please contact me by using the Contact form at the bottom of my home page and let me know which photos you are interested in purchasing, and in what format / medium.
I want to thank everyone who gave me such positive feedback on my post earlier this week regarding themes for my 2014 photo calendars. Today, I’d like to showcase a selection of water theme photos and ask you to choose which ones should make it into the calendar. It might be easier to tell me which ones you’d really want to see, and which ones I should definitely keep. Just give me your honest feedback and help me make great choices.
Now, here’s the catch. Everyone who comments on one of my 2014 photo calendar related posts will be entered in a drawing to win one of my calendars (you can pick your favorite theme). The only requirement I have for the winner is to be located within the U.S., mostly because the calendar will contain U.S. holidays and it will be more helpful to that person. For every calendar post that you comment on, you will earn one drawing entry (one entry per blog post, not per comment). I’m planning to give away one calendar to a lucky winner, and possibly another one to the person who comes in second, depending on the number of participants.
Sell me which photos I should include, or not, in this water theme 2014 photo calendar. You can click on any photo below to open the slideshow and view everything in a larger format. Please include your comments into the post comment section directly, not on individual photos, to make it easier for everyone to see your feedback. I know some of the photos are in portrait instead of landscape format, but I’d go back to the original and crop it the right way if it’s a favorite.
Are you ready? Go!
Hate to exclude any of these…
Haha, you’re not helping! But I’ll take it as a compliment. Thank you.
I of course love them all, but my absolute favorites that I’d love to look at on my wall are: the pink rose, the single water lily, the lemon with blue sky (though the other two lemon pics I also love), and a river runs through it. Can’t wait to purchase my 2014 Milka calendar (or maybe I’ll win one!). I’m enjoying your moon of October in my kitchen right now. 🙂
Thank you, that helps a lot! It seems that many people love the most simple photos, with the least distracting subjects and backgrounds. Those are my favorite type of photos too. I love that October full moon too, perfect for Halloween. I have some great moon shots and I hope to use one in the generic calendar.
You are a master of the simple photograph. And that’s a compliment. That’s why I like your work so much. You give the smallest of things the most brilliant detail.
Well, thank you, I really appreciate it. By the way, did you see on Goodreads that I’m reading your book? Finally! My kids have a tablet so I put the copy I won on it. I’m on Chapter 7 (I’m reading 2 books at once) and I’m really liking it so far.
Ah, that’s nice. It’s a starter book–nothing more, nothing less. My goal at the time was to hopefully keep people wanting to read more. With my current manuscript, I think I’ve matured as a writer enough to tackle more social themes and such. I hope you like the twist. Based on reviews, it seems people either love the twist or hate it. Not sure where you’ll fall on the spectrum. Gulp…
I like your “simple” writing style. Just enough to keep me interested and want to turn the pages, not too much to make me lose tract of the action. That’s my preferred writing style for sure. As long as the twist is not so obvious that I discover it at the beginning on the book like Gone Girl, I’m sure I’ll like it.
If you discover it, you’ll be the first. But there are clues along the way. 🙂
I really like the water lilies
Me too! And that’s why I want to try to make a calendar just with them, besides featuring one photo in this water calendar.
They are all great pictures. It was a hard choice but here are my favorites. I love the multiple water lilies, the seagull, duck, morning dew on grass, lemon with blue sky, and river runs through it.
Thank you so much, Michele! You’re voicing the same choices as several others so this helps a lot in making tough decisions.
why not mix them and make up collages.. all too good to leave any out… 😉
I hear you. I think with all the feedback I got, I will end up with an excellent selection for this calendar.
I love #2, the one with the 3 pink water lilies, the single lemon with raindrops on it, the seagrass by the shore, #10, 11 & 12, and the starfish under water!
Thank you so much for your feedback! It seems most people like the same photos, so this is very helpful.
Such beautiful photos, it’s really hard to choose! I think of the group though I keep going back to #8. 🙂
Thank you! That raindrop on the grass blade seems to be quite popular and it’s one of my favorite too.
