Today I’m participating in the A Word A Week Challenge. This week’s theme is “pose”. I encourage you to click on each photo to see a larger view. If you like what you see, please subscribe to this blog to receive updates of the new photos I post, usually 3 to 5 times a week.
This super cute grizzly bear was posing at the San Diego Zoo, hoping someone would throw him some of that popcorn he could smell. How disappointed he must have been when the popcorn walked away…

Same San Diego Zoo, different bear, this time a panda bear. Those guys sure know how to pose for the camera.

This praying mantis was annoyed to have my camera so close and it decided to stop and freeze, hoping I’d go away. It worked because I got my photos and left it alone after that.

This green Junebug beetle posed on some colorful yellow rose petals for me while I took its picture.

Last but not least, this white great egret sure knows how to strike a pose and show off!

Great “poses” especially by the panda – looks almost human.
Thank you, he sure does look friendly there.
I love the bear. He’s got a “Whatever, just take the picture, dude” look on his face. (Not to mention his laissez-faire body language!)
He was definitely interested in what he was spelling, with a “hey, don’t I look cool?” attitude. You almost want to hug him. I said almost. I can see those giant claws…
Um, yeah, please refrain from hugging the dangerous zoo animals…

Those bears are so cute and cuddly looking. I just want to squeeze them. Not so with the bugs.
They do look very soft. But I bet that praying mantis would do us less harm if we try to touch it.
First time visiting — Char sent me here for your delightful photos. What a treat. I really got a kick out of the panda bear. He looked so casual. 🙂
Thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I’m glad you enjoyed the panda!

Popping in from Char’s link on 4amWriter’s blog. Great pictures – isn’t that panda just adorable? What’s he thinking about to make him smile like that?
Well, thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to comment today. Pandas at the zoo seem very content.
