It was a pleasure to spot this bush lily last weekend while enjoying sunny and warm weather. The bush lily, officially Clivia Miniata, is a plant from South Africa. It does well in San Diego weather, which is similarly warm (and hot) and dry. I’ve lived in San Diego for over 15 years and it still feels weird to see flowers blooming in the winter, but it sure makes for great photo opportunities when I’m out and about.

Enjoy these bright splashes of orange on this Floral Friday. I was thinking of using them for my post Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: the color orange the other day, but I opted to display orange poppies instead. I’ve seen a lot of orange in the past week!
