I’m not sure how many ring-tailed lemurs are actually piled up together for a nap in this time, but I can count three full-length ring tails (and a very small part of a fourth one on the left).

I photographed this wood duck swimming on a pond because I liked the wavy reflections in the water, in this case the reflections of the trunks of three palm trees.

How about these three wood ducks, who seemed very hungry for bird seeds?

Finally these two baby lions (brother and sister) were cuddling with a stuffed blue monkey at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park on the weekend morning we visited.

The first one is an incredible capture and the second one is so beautiful. I love the third one 🙂
Thank you very much! I have more ring-tailed lemur photos to share from a recent visit to the zoo. Hopefully I can get to post them next week. They’re pretty funny.
Original interpretation of the prompt – some really great shots. The pile of lemurs is quite endearing, and I’m very struck by the artistry of the ducks swimming through the shimmering three of trees. Thanks for posting.
Those ring-tailed lemurs are obviously not introverts. We’d never sleep so entwined… 😉
You’re right, I’m not sure I’d like to be the one at the bottom of the pile!
I like your wrap-around lemurs – only by the tails do you know how many there are 🙂
Exactly! Their bodies really blend it otherwise. And they nap like that every time we go see them.
Those baby lions are so cute!!
janet
They sure are, and they’re growing up fast.
Such sweet captures…that little lion cub..adorable!!
Very adorable indeed. When we went back this past weekend (I took the lion photo about a month ago), the cubs were already a lot bigger.

I wouldn’t have know that there are three lemurs there if you didn’t tell me!
I think counting the tails is the only way to have some idea of how many in the pile. My kids can this a “curl” of lemurs.
Oh my Milka, that shot of the lion cubs is priceless!! You took a totally different approach on this one and it’s terrific – great job!
Thank you! I rarely take several shots of the same thing, going from farther to closer, so I thought showing three items in each picture could work too.
