Project 365

A few days ago, I decided to participate in the Project 365 – 2013 challenge. This is an interactive one-photo-a-day challenge that provides you with daily inspiration / themes. The project is flexible enough that you don’t have to participate every day if you think taking one photo a day is too much, and you don’t have to stick to the daily themes if you are already inspired by something else.

My biggest personal challenge was to figure out how to take part in Project 365 exactly. Should I create a post for this every day on my website, or dedicate an individual page, or something else? So I opted for the something else by doing this:

Post my daily photo on my Facebook page, in the Project 365 – 2013 photo album
Post my daily photo on the Project 365 – 2013 Facebook page
Not feel obligated to post a photo every day just for the sake of posting
Integrate my Project 365 – 2013 in the posts I create for this website. I usually take more than one photo during a shoot and it would be a pity not to share the other good shots

This will be a fun way to share my photos with others, besides on this blog, and see what photos other people are taking as part of this project. Later today, I’ll share a few photos of my weekend morning at Coronado Beach, in San Diego, California, where the weather was beautiful and the waves were impressive.

One of my goals for 2013 when it comes to my photography activities is to participate in more photo challenges. I hope to mingle with other photographers of all levels, get more people to see my photos and gather feedback.

This past week, I joined the Project 365 – 2013, where I will attempt to post a photo almost every day, both on my Facebook page, as well as the Project 365 2013 Facebook page. I love to see the other photos people submit on a daily basis!

I’ve also decided to join Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge, which takes place weekly. This week’s theme is “Your 2012 Outdoors and Nature”, with a focus on people and animals. If you visit my site regularly, you’ve probably seen all of the photos below already, and I apologize. If you’re new here, I hope you enjoy my photos of outdoors and nature animals. You can click on each image to see a larger view in a slideshow format. You can also access much larger photos directly from each post, available from my Animals page, which needs some serious updating. Another of my 2013 goals!
