I featured some pink water lilies a few weeks ago and I was lucky enough to capture more of them on camera recently. The sunlight was very bright that day in comparison to my other photo session, so these pink water lilies look quite different in the end.

By the way, check out the green frog popping its head out of the water in this last picture (bottom right).

This is the first time I’ve photographed lotus flowers. They were standing next to the water lilies in the pond but definitely look different with their much taller stems. The light was quite challenging that day, especially when it came to photographing mostly white petals.

I love this next shot, which shows what a lotus seed head looks like once the petals come off. If you look inside the flower, you can see the seed area in an earlier stage. Pretty cool flowers!

Just in time for the fall season, here’s some colorful sumac tree foliage. With a beautiful bright blue sky as the complimentary background, this photo is very multicolored.

I love the bright red berries of the Cotoneaster Lacteus contrasting with the bush’s green and crimson leaves.

This bright orange protea pincushion flower enjoys the company of purple lavender, green leafed trees and a California blue sky in the background.

I’m not sure what these flowers are called (some type of iceplant blooms) but I love how the petals change colors from one end to the other.

Check out these artificial grass blades inside this bubble. Some actually went through all the way to the other side and still that bubble didn’t pop.

Here’s a blue damselfly locked inside my house, longing to get out. It wasn’t very helpful in its release, but I still managed to get it back outside.
