I’m participating in the online adventure travel and photography magazine LetsBeWild.com’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge for bloggers. This week’s Challenge is: Reflections.

Water is a great medium for reflections so it will be featured in every photo below, but maybe not always in the way you expect it to be. Remember you can click on each photo to see it in a larger format.

My favorite photo when it comes to reflection is the first one below. I took it at the San Diego Botanic garden and it features a green heron standing above some very still water, so the reflection is almost identical to the original subject.

The next photo shows the reflection of the sun rays on the wet sand at Coronado Beach, in San Diego. Can you guess it’s my favorite beach here?

I displayed the next photo in yesterday’s post but I want to share it here too, as I love the reflection of the blades of grass in the large water drop. I can’t help admiring the beautiful little treasures that nature leaves everywhere for us to discover.

As for the last photo I’ll display for this theme, I took it last weekend at Dos Picos County Park, in Ramona, California. I love the peace and quiet effect of this pond. As you can see, it was a beautiful day.

Today I’m taking part in Macro Monday at Lisa’s Chaos. I thought I’d take this opportunity to continue sharing the photos of morning dew I captured almost a couple of weeks ago. You can see more photos of the morning dew on pretty purple flowers.

Today I’m featuring close-ups of the morning dew on blades of grass. Here are a couple of shots I really like, as they show both tiny droplets and one much bigger one in the middle of them. You can click on each image for a larger view.

I love how well you can see the reflection of several blades of grass in that one big drop of water.

I never noticed how fuzzy grass blades can be. The dew makes the fuzz stand up pretty clearly.

This week’s Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge theme is circles and curves. Nature is full of circles and curves so here are a few of my selections for this theme. Remember you can click on each photo for a larger view.

Is there anything more round than a full moon?

OK, oranges are pretty round too.

Lemons aren’t round but they show plenty of curves.

I love the round and curvy shapes of these raindrops on a spider web. You can see more of these raindrops here and here.

Sea jellies are round and curvy as they swim around.

I love these little round berries (more photos of these berries here). Two months later and the berries are still on the shrubs.

I’ll finish with the newest baby panda at the San Diego Zoo. I love those beautiful circles around the eyes!

Let’s Be Wild Weekly Photo Challenge – Unusual

I’m participating in the online adventure travel and photography magazine LetsBeWild.com’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge for bloggers. This week’s Challenge is: Unusual.

What a tough challenge! And so I’ve decided to pick a few photos where there may be more than meets the eye.

This first photo is very seasonal. If you’ve ever wondered what Rudolph the red nosed reindeer looks like when he lands on the roof, here’s your answer.

If you’re wondering what the photo below is, these are spider webs from grass spiders covered in raindrops.

Here’s the hooded lady with a walking stick in a tree trunk.

I love the hidden shapes or images in nature. Here’s a pretty obvious face in the rock.

Now here’s a less obvious face in the rocks. I see a man’s profile (looking left) in the rock. On his right, I see the profile of a dog’s head looking left too. Can you see it? Now, that’s unusual!

Win a free copy of my 2013 photo calendar!

Zazzle online shop If you enjoy my photos and would like to purchase some, I want to thank you! Simply visit my Zazzle online shop and browse the product offerings. If there’s a photo you would like to purchase but don’t see it in my shop, please contact me by using the Contact form at the bottom of my home page and let me know which photos you are interested in purchasing, and in what format / medium.

YeLike Milka Pejovic Photography on Facebooks, you read right. You can win a free copy of my 2013 photo calendar (view all the photos) by helping me spread the word about my Facebook page.

Here’s how you enter my contest:

1) Like my nature photography Facebook page if you haven’t done so yet.

2) Share my Facebook page with your friends and ask them to like it.

3) The person who provides the most Like referrals wins the calendar (one free copy).

4) If I don’t know of any referrals, I will pick one lucky winner out of my Facebook page fans, so you could still win just by liking my page.

5) You can keep this calendar for yourself or give it to someone else for the new year. Heck, you could give it to a friend you referred!

This contest starts today and ends on December 19, 2012.

Important Notes:

– Facebook doesn’t tell me who you referred to like my page so you will need to send me a message through Facebook and give me the names of these people so I can double check.

– This free calendar was designed and printed in the USA so it includes all US holidays. It will probably make more sense for someone in the US to win this calendar, but anyone is welcome to enter the contest.

Good luck and thank you for participating!
